Shoulder surfing

Shoulder surfing is when someone spies on you to steal your details. They do this to carry out fraud, compromise accounts, get access to your data, drain your bank accounts and more.

Shoulder surfing can happen anywhere and at anytime. Unsavory thieves can be in close proximity to you like standing or sitting next to you looking over you without you noticing.

They can also keep tabs on you from a distance using a variety of methods such as installing video recording or listening devices that watch you type or write and tap into your conversations.
