Let’s pretend you’ve locked yourself out. And the only way to get in is to try every key you have on your keyring to unlock the padlock. Brute force attacks aren’t all that different except now it isn’t you and it’s sinister hackers repeatedly trying a combination of usernames, email addresses and passwords to compromise your account.
