If you’d like to hide the photos of your favorite cat or the email you sent to Santa, cryptography is your go-to. Cryptography takes plaintext such as email messages, photos, documents, videos or music and turns it into ciphertext. It’s a format that humans or computers can’t access and It does this using encryption. To unmask the secret, you use decryption to turn it back to plaintext.
